Terms of use
Draft. The details in brackets must be filled in, and this text read by counsel, before launch. Until both are done it states our intent and binds nobody.
Who publishes this site
This site is published by [legal name], [legal form] with a share capital of [amount], whose registered office is at [registered address], France, registered under number [SIREN] with the [city] trade and companies register. VAT number [VAT number]. Director of publication: [name]. Written enquiries go to [contact email], or to the form at the foot of this page.
Who hosts it
The pages you are reading are served by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. They are built from a content management system that runs separately, hosted by [hosting provider, address, telephone]. The site stays online when that system does not.
What these terms cover
They govern your use of this site and of every page under [domain]. Using the site means accepting them as they read on the day of your visit. They do not govern work we do for you: that is set by a separate signed agreement, which prevails over this page in every respect.
Using the site
The site is here to be read, and to let you reach us. You may read it, quote it with attribution, and link to it without asking. Four things we ask you not to do:
- Reach for any part of the site, its servers or its content management system that is not openly published.
- Harvest it automatically — scraping, mirroring, bulk downloading — beyond what a search engine does.
- Use the contact form for prospecting or bulk sending. A person reads every message that arrives.
- Present the site or its contents as your own, or in a way that suggests we endorse you.
What belongs to whom
The texts, photographs, films, layouts, typography and code of this site are protected, and remain the property of [legal name] or of those who licensed them to us. Client work shown here belongs to the clients who commissioned it and appears with their agreement. Nothing on this page transfers any of it to you.
What the site does not promise
We keep the site accurate, and we correct what is pointed out to us. We do not promise that it is complete, free of error, or available without interruption — it is a static site on a content delivery network, which is sturdy rather than infallible. Nothing here is advice, an offer, or a commitment to a price or a date.
Links to other sites
Some links lead to sites we do not run. They are there for convenience and are not an endorsement; once you follow one, the terms of the site you arrive at apply, not these.
Personal data
What we collect when you write to us, why, how long we keep it, and how to have it corrected or erased is set out on our privacy page, at /privacy, which forms part of these terms. The message you send through the form is kept so that we can answer it, and for nothing else.
Cookies
The site sets no cookie of its own, and carries no analytics or advertising tag. Where an anti-spam check is enabled on the contact form, its provider may set a cookie strictly necessary to that check. Anything beyond this will be stated at /cookies before it happens, not after.
Liability
We answer for the damage our own fault causes, to the extent French law provides. We do not answer for what follows from a use of the site contrary to these terms, from an interruption of the network or of the hosting, or from a site we merely link to. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not permit to be limited.
Changes
These terms will change. The version that applies is the one published here on the day of your visit, and the date of the last change is shown at the top of this page.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of [city], France. A consumer may bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence, and may use the European online dispute resolution platform.
